We have our weekly coffee hour on Fridays, 9-10:30am for all Aerospace grad students on the back patio, weather permitting! If the weather does not permit this, it will be held in the 2nd floor kitchen area.

We have free coffee, bagels, donuts, and more!

Please bring your own mug (BYOM) so we can reduce waste!

Every month, AGSO organizes a happy hour for members of the aerospace community, friends, and family. Come share drinks with your co-workers and classmates and make some new friends. This month, the Happy Hour will take place after the volleyball games! Meet us at Twisted Pine on Thursday, April 17th, at 5 pm. When you arrive, look for the miniature rocket to find us!

Engineers and Astronomers, stargazers and space voyagers—the Aerospace Spring Gala is here! This year, we invite you to step into the cosmos for a Galactic Masquerade, where mystery meets the magic of the stars.

The annual Aerospace Gala will be held on Friday April 11th from 5 - 9 pm at Spotted James. We encourage all Aero graduate students, faculty, and staff to attend! This years theme is Galactic Masquerade, don your finest attire and mask up in celestial style!
There will be a DJ session, pool tables, and a dinner catered by Pasta Jays. Please by April 2nd. AGSO will also be hosting a mask making event during coffee hour on April 4th, supplies are limited.

AGSO will also be hosting a Prelim info session�� at 1 pm, April 11th in AERO N240.��This will be an informal session with a panel of current grad students who have recently taken their prelims.����If you are planning taking Prelims this fall, we encourage you too attend.

Astroscale is hosting a tour for CU Aerospace students at their Denver location! The tour will be from 2 - 4 pm on Tuesday, April 8th and will involve��discussions about their planned missions and talks with their full time engineers. All are welcome to attend, including international students. If you are interested, fill out by April 4th.��We will reach out on Monday the 7th via email to assign rides for those that don't have a way to transport themselves.

Grad school is a grind, so why not celebrate the small wins? The Buffies are fun, student-nominated awards recognizing the quirks, achievements, and sheer survival skills of our fellow grad students. Whether it’s the peer who’s accidentally taught you half your coursework, the most dedicated skier, or the undisputed champion of longest paper title, now’s your chance to give them the recognition��they deserve. 🏆 Winners get eternal glory (and a $25 gift card!) 🏆 Nominate yourself, your friends, lab mates, or that one person who might actually pay rent in the AERO. Submit Nominations using�� Nominations close April 1st, and awards will be presented on April 4th during Grad Appreciation Luncheon.

Clip into those skis and strap on those boards; it's time once again for AGSO's Eldora Day. Aerospace graduate students, faculty, and staff are invited to spend a fun day skiing at Eldora, Sunday, March 2nd. AGSO will provide a light lunch, but you are responsible for your own lift ticket. Plan to meet at Eldora by 8:15 am and at 12:00pm in the parking lot for lunch. RSVP by Monday 2/24 if you want lunch.��While you are encouraged to organize your own, the RSVP spreadsheet will also be used to help organize carpools.

Need some dedicated time set aside to work on your fellowship applications? We have a space for you! Join other students and take a couple of hours to get some writing done.

Interested in being forever immortalized in the history of ����������? Sign up for the Aero department's 5v5 soccer tournament! Teams can be between 5-7 players, sign up with your team name, captain, and players.

Want to play but don't have a team? Put your team name down as "Free Agent". Games will be scheduled between the end of September and beginning of October��and take place on the lawn behind the Aero building.

One does not simply win a Fellowship. Because of this, AGSO is hosting Dr. Hanspeter Schaub for a graduate fellowship writing workshop. Come learn the ins and outs of writing a good fellowship application from our very own department chair.

The workshop will be held in AERO N250, Thursday, September 19th from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. If you plan on applying for fellowships this year, we highly encourage you to come out.
