Accessibility
Are your facilities wheelchair-accessible?
Yes! All facilities on campus are fully accessible to wheelchairs.

Alcohol
What if I want to serve alcohol at my event?
To get the process started on serving alcohol at your event, contact our Campus Alcohol Agent at 303-492-3269 or campusalcoholagent@colorado.edu. All requests for an event with alcohol must be submitted 10 days prior to the event unless the event requires a Special Event Permit (SEP). See our Events with Alcohol page for more information.
Catering
Can you provide options for vegetarian or other special diets?
Yes! Many of our items are developed for special diets in mind. Look for notations in the menus such as Vegetarian, Vegan, Alternative Flour or Gluten-friendly to find these items. Please make your event planner aware of this need when placing your catering order.
How are items on your menu packaged, presented, served, etc.?
Menus can be served buffet style, plated or as passed hors d’oeuvres, depending on your event needs. We also offer on-the-go boxed lunches and party trays.
How do I change or cancel my order? How late in the planning process can I change my food order?

Can I use my own catering company?
ºÚÁÏÉçÇøÍø Campus Dining Services is the premier catering company on campus. The University Memorial Center and all Housing and Dining Services (HDS) properties are closed venues to outside food sources and other caterers. HDS properties include the University Memorial Center, Center for Community, Kittredge, Village Center and the residence halls. All food served in these venues must be arranged through the CU Events Planning & Catering office. As an option, clients with events in the UMC may choose any of the in-house retail partners: Infinitus Pie, Panda Express, Starbucks or Subway.
Can I take leftover food home?
]No. Due to local health and sanitation laws, leftover food remains the property of Campus Dining Services.
Delivery
What is your delivery policy?
Campus Dining Services’ staff will deliver and set up your catering order. This set-up includes linen for the food items ordered and all appropriate service ware. The catering staff will return at the designated time to pick up the remains of the food and all other service utensils.

What is the charge for delivery?
We offer complimentary delivery for catering order within the UMC or at any Housing & Dining Services properties (Center for Community, Village Center, Kittredge Central and other residence halls). Campus delivery service outside of the UMC, but on campus is a $25 flat fee. Off-campus delivery service is a $100 flat fee. Events/Rooms
Can someone help me plan my event?
Yes! We have a staff of highly qualified event planners that will help you produce your ideal event from the planning stage to the finishing touches. They will assist you with room reservations, catering orders, room configurations, audio/visual requirements and more.
Do you host weddings on campus?
Yes! The campus offers a unique Boulder experience with a variety of venues for your special day. Envision your ceremony on our rooftop terrace looking out at the Boulder Flatirons, or your reception under the cover of an elegant tent located on our south terrace. Want a dazzling ballroom event? The versatile Glenn Miller Ballroom is the largest in Boulder. Please note: We may only be able to accommodate weddings during specific times of the year, as academic and sporting events take precedence.
How do I schedule a site visit?
We’re happy to show you our event spaces in person. Just contact CU Events Planning & Catering at 303-492-8833, or stop by the office in room 140 in the UMC to schedule a visit.
What are my room configuration options?
Most rooms can be set in theatre, classroom, conference, banquet or reception layouts depending your event needs. See our Venue Fact Sheet for layouts available in specific rooms within the UMC. We can also create a personalized room diagram for your event.
Can I come in the day before the event to set up?
Depending on the type of event and what is happening in the space prior to your event, you may be able to come in the day before or early on the day of your event to get set up. Let your event planner know if this is needed and we will work with you to accommodate as best we can. Note: Rental fees will apply.

Is a gratuity automatically added to my order?
We do not add a gratuity to any order, and no gratuity is expected for your event.
Do you have children’s prices?
We do not currently offer a children’s menu or pricing. However, your event planner would be happy to work with you to create food offerings for children at your event if needed.
Rentals/Services
Do you provide table linens?
Yes! We can provide table linens and skirts. Select colors are available. Charges may apply. Please discuss your needs with your event planner.
Do you rent tables and chairs?
Yes! UMC venues have tables and chairs that can be arranged into theatre, classroom, conference, banquet or reception layouts depending your event needs. For venues outside the UMC, we can put you in touch with a third-party vendor to rent the tables you need.
Do you offer menu tastings?
For some events we are able to provide menu tastings. Ask your event planner about this option.
Does your staff wear uniforms?
All staff wear a uniform and name tag while working.
Reservations/Scheduling
How can I reserve space for my meeting or event?
CU Events Planning & Catering can help you schedule rooms in the UMC and elsewhere on the CU campus. Call us at 303-492-8833 or visit us in UMC room 140, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters (7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the summer).

How far in advance should I reserve my date?
Is it never too early to plan your event! Larger, more complex events require a significant amount of planning and coordination from various university departments to ensure success. Our event planners are happy to assist in the checking of venue availability and explain the policies around scheduling and use of your selected venue. We recommend that clients place catering orders as early as possible after securing the venue space. For popular campus dates such as graduation events and holiday gatherings, we encourage you to contact us at least six to eight weeks prior to your event date.

How do you promote sustainability?
Campus Dining Services is dedicated to utilizing high-quality ingredients to ensure our customers receive the best possible products. We offer an ever-growing selection of organic, natural and local products in all of our operations. Read more about how .
Appropriate compostable products are provided to all catering orders for no charge. ºÚÁÏÉçÇøÍø’s student government encourages the use of reusable products, depending on guest count and location. Do you provide audio/visual equipment and support?
Yes! We offer extensive audio/visual services and equipment. See our Audio Visual page for packages and more information.
Is there a Wi-Fi connection? What is the fee?
Yes! The UCB Guest Wireless network allows campus guests quick and easy internet access. Guests simply choose UCB Guest Wireless SSID, open a web browser, agree to Terms and Conditions of Use, and you are immediately able to browse the internet. UCB Guest Wireless is provided as a common-good to the campus which means there is no direct cost to anyone.
Miscellaneous
What are my parking options?
CU Parking Services can help make your event a success. They can help determine the best parking or transit experience for your guests, provide you with cost estimates and assist with wayfinding with custom maps or signage. Please fill out our Event Parking Request Form to have a Parking Services event coordinator contact you. If you are not ready to submit a request but would like more information about event parking services, you can contact Parking Services by email at parkingevents@colorado.edu or by phone at 303-492-7344. It’s never too early to plan parking for your event!
Can I hold a fundraiser or sell merchandise on campus?
Fundraisers and sales are allowed under some circumstances and within established guidelines. Ask your event planner for details and assistance if this is something you need.
Can I use the ºÚÁÏÉçÇøÍø logo on my event materials?
There are restrictions on the use of university branding. Please contact CU Strategic Relations for more information.
