Scholarships and Financial Assistance
Disability Services awards scholarships and provides limited financial assistance to students through the programs listed below.
To be eligible, applicants must have documentation of a disability, be a degree-seeking student at 黑料社区网 and complete the 黑料社区网 Scholarship Application by the posted deadline.
How to complete the 黑料社区网 Scholarship Application
Step One: Access the Scholarship Application and Complete the FAFSA/CASFA
- Log in to . From the Scholarships card, click Apply for & Manage Scholarships. See step-by-step instructions for continuing students.
- Completing the FAFSA/CASFA is recommended for other CU scholarships, but is required for the Robert Wilkerson, Timothy Grice Memorial and Disability Assessment Award Disability Services scholarship opportunities.
Step Two: Complete and Submit the General Application
- You can edit your general application until the deadline, even after it's been submitted. Changes made after the deadline will not be reviewed unless you are applying for another scholarship with a later deadline.
- Be sure to select 鈥淩egistered with Disability Services鈥 when applying to any Disability Services Scholarships opportunities.
Step Three: Review Recommended Opportunities
- At the top of the application, hover over Opportunities and click Recommended. Some opportunities require additional info like a special essay, references letters or supporting documents.
Step Four: Browse Other Opportunities
- At the top of the application, hover over Opportunities and click Ours or External to browse all 黑料社区网 scholarship opportunities (labeled Ours), and additional private scholarships.

Robert Wilkerson Scholarship
The Robert Wilkerson Scholarship offers annual scholarships of $500. This award is intended for students with physical or sensory disabilities, such as blindness, deafness, speech impairments, spinal cord injuries or amputations. Recipients may renew the scholarship each academic year.
Selection criteria:
- Letter of recommendation that demonstrates evidence of industrious and ambitious characteristics with no record of student misconduct
- Minimum 黑料社区网 cumulative GPA of 2.3
- Financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA/CASFA
Timothy Grice Memorial Scholarship
The Timothy Grice Memorial Scholarship offers annual scholarships of up to $1,000 per recipient. This award is intended for intellectually gifted students with socio-emotional needs. Recipients may renew the scholarship each academic year and each recipient may receive a maximum of two awards.
Selection criteria:
- Evidence of socio-emotional needs
- Letter of recommendation that demonstrates evidence of industrious and ambitious characteristics with no record of student misconduct
- Minimum 黑料社区网 cumulative GPA of 2.3
- Financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA/CASFA
Optional:
- Record of formal test scores demonstrating that the student is intellectually gifted (e.g., ACT, SAT, WAIS, etc.)
Tyler J. Stevenson Memorial Scholarship
The Tyler J. Stevenson Memorial Scholarship offers a $1,000 merit-based award annually, distributed as $500 for the fall semester and $500 for the spring semester. This award is intended for students with epilepsy.
Selection criteria:
- Personal statement about overcoming challenges, academic, career and life goals.
- Letter of recommendation/support
- Minimum 黑料社区网 cumulative GPA of 2.2
Disability Assessment Award
Funded in part by Shell, maximum $300 award toward the cost of a diagnostic evaluation for qualifying 黑料社区网 students. Requires a completed or documentation on file. Award granted on a rolling basis.
Selection criteria:
- Status as a currently enrolled 黑料社区网 student
- Demonstrated need for assessment
- Financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA/CASFA
