- At Chancellor Schwartz’s request, the Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship and the Research and Innovation Office are co-leading ºÚÁÏÉçÇøÍø’s first application for the Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement.
- Since 2018, the Engaged Arts and Humanities Graduate Student Scholars program has given 40 students the opportunity and resources to apply tools of the arts and humanities to public and community-engaged scholarship projects.

- Associate Professor Jota Samper, Program in Environmental Design, is the 2024 recipient of the Excellence in Faculty Community Engagement Award from the Engagement Scholarship Consortium (ESC). This national award is one of the most prestigious of its kind.
