Join faculty, staff and students in celebrating national Graduate Student Appreciation Week, which recognizes graduate students’ many contributions to the university’s community and academic excellence. Graduate Student Appreciation Week (March 31 through April 4) offers a variety of free events, workshops, and services to ���������� graduate students.

Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) provides virtual workshops to help students learn how to manage stress, combat anxiety, practice healthy habits, and learn valuable life skills.

The Norlin Library is seeking for 1 to 3 students to assist in processing over 5,000 volumes of Chinese language materials. This on-site position pays $20/hour and requires advanced proficiency in reading and typing both simplified and traditional Chinese characters, as well as the ability to Romanize Chinese characters. This job will remain open until April 14. Work begins as soon as possible and continues through the completion of the project, ideally by June 30th.

The International Festival will take place on April 13, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom (at the UMC)! Join author and History and Religious Studies Professor Caleb Elfenbein as he discusses the process of writing his book Fear in Our Hearts: What Islamophobia Tells Us about America, which argues that anti-Muslim activity reveals how fear is corroding core American values. The book examines connections between Islamophobia, racism, citizenship, and efforts by Muslim communities to humanize themselves.

Explore the pros and cons of responding in accommodating (i.e., polite) versus resistant (i.e., impolite) ways, grounded in the field of rhetoric and communication. CEB selected Guerrero as this year’s speaker to foster a deeper campus dialogue on the realities of immigration, the challenges faced by migrant and refugee communities, and the broader implications of immigration reform.

CU in the Community is a series of one-time, student-led volunteer projects offered each semester in collaboration with local nonprofit organizations. Projects are based on community needs and include various types of service related to social and environmental justice. All students are invited to participate in volunteer projects to gain understanding of social and environmental issues, engage in direct service, reflect on their impact and learn about continued engagement in communities.
