Established in 1948, Boulder Friends of International Students (BFIS) pairs international students/scholars with local residents/families to create a sense of belonging in the local community for CU international students/scholars. This program is mutually beneficial for students/scholars and BFIS friends as it seeks to enhance intercultural communication through understanding, acceptance, and celebration of culture, traditions, language, and education in our global world.
