The purpose of the Cox Family Process speaker series is to invite a scholar known for a particular work and have them share the origin of the project, its reception, and its afterlife. Dr. Elfenbein will be speaking about both the digital humanities project 鈥鈥 he created with a team at Grinnell, as well as the book that emerged out of it,聽Fear in Our Hearts: What Islamophobia Tells Us about America聽(NYU Press 2021)鈥攖he first 25 people who register and attend the talk will receive a free copy of his book, and the CU Library has a digital version available for users to read:聽
After his talk, Dr. Elfenbein will be in conversation with Dr.聽Nabil Echchaibi聽on what we can do to continue combatting anti-Muslim sentiment/violence.
